RESEARCH AND PRACTICE

Dhriti

DPhil Student in Psychiatry · University of Oxford

Dhriti is a longtime meditator and a final year DPhil student at the University of Oxford. Meditation and mindfulness have been an important support throughout her DPhil journey. She brings that personal experience to her work at Bliss.

Her Academic Work

Her research explores how adults in India understand ageing well, and how culture shapes ideas of wellbeing. She holds a master’s degree from University College London and previously worked as a Research Fellow at AIIMS, New Delhi.

Her interests include cultural psychology, anxiety, depression and how mental health care can respond to people’s different backgrounds.

Keeping Bliss Grounded

At Bliss, Dhriti reviews the techniques we share and the claims we make against existing research. She helps us stay clear about what the evidence supports, bringing her research experience into the way we discuss meditation and mindfulness.
